Calendar Integration
GameMinder can generate a personal iCal subscription URL that you can add to any calendar application. The feed includes all upcoming sessions across all of your campaigns, displayed in your local timezone.
The subscription stays up to date automatically; your calendar app will pull new and rescheduled sessions as long as the subscription is active.
Generating your iCal URL
- Go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Open the Calendar tab.
- Click Generate URL. Your personal iCal URL is created and displayed.
- Click Copy to copy the URL to your clipboard.
Keep this URL private. Anyone with the URL can view your upcoming session schedule.
Tip
You can also generate a calendar link directly from the dashboard sidebar. A Subscribe to calendar link appears below the mini calendar.
Subscribing in your calendar app
Google Calendar
- Open Google Calendar in a browser.
- In the left sidebar, click the + next to Other calendars and select From URL.
- Paste your iCal URL and click Add calendar.
- Your GameMinder sessions appear as a new calendar. Google Calendar typically refreshes the feed every 24 hours.
Apple Calendar
- Open Calendar on macOS or iOS.
- Choose File > New Calendar Subscription (macOS) or tap Add Calendar > Add Subscription Calendar (iOS).
- Paste your iCal URL and click Subscribe.
- Set a name, colour, and refresh interval, then click OK.
Outlook
- Open Outlook on the web or Outlook desktop.
- In Calendar view, select Add calendar > Subscribe from web.
- Paste your iCal URL and click Import.
- Name the calendar and choose a colour, then click Save.
Note
Calendar apps refresh subscription feeds on their own schedules. Changes made in GameMinder (such as a rescheduled session) may take some time to appear in your calendar app.
Regenerating your token
If you want to invalidate your existing subscription URL and generate a new one (for example, if the URL was shared unintentionally), click Regenerate in the Calendar tab of Settings. Any calendar apps subscribed to the old URL will stop receiving updates.
Revoking your token
To remove your iCal URL entirely, click Revoke in the Calendar tab. This immediately stops the feed from returning any data. Re-subscribe by generating a new URL.
