Account Settings

Account Settings is where you manage your personal profile, availability, linked accounts, calendar subscription, and password. Navigate here by clicking your avatar or the Settings link in the sidebar.

Settings are organized into tabs: Profile, Availability, Linked Accounts, Calendar, and Password.

Profile

The Profile tab controls how you appear to others in GameMinder and how the app displays information to you.

Identity

  • Username: your unique handle used to identify your account
  • Display Name: the name shown to other campaign members
  • Avatar URL: a link to an image used as your avatar across the app (optional)

Locale

  • Timezone: your local timezone, used to display session times correctly. Set this to your actual timezone so session dates and times match what your GM schedules.
  • Locale: your preferred language locale for date and number formatting

Click Save after making changes.

Availability

The Availability tab lets you tell GameMinder when you are generally free for sessions. This information is shared with your GM and appears on the campaign dashboard's mini calendar to help schedule sessions when most players are available.

Weekly availability

For each day of the week you are available, add one or more time windows:

  1. Click on a day to expand it.
  2. Click + Add Window to add a time slot.
  3. Set the start and end times using the time pickers.
  4. Add additional windows for the same day if your availability is split (e.g. afternoon and evening).
  5. Leave a day collapsed with no windows to indicate you are not available on that day.

Blackout dates

Use blackout dates to mark specific date ranges when you are unavailable (holidays, travel, etc.):

  1. Click + Add Blackout.
  2. Select the start and end dates using the date range picker.
  3. The blocked range appears in the list. Click the X to remove it.

Click Save Availability to apply your changes.

Linked Accounts

The Linked Accounts tab shows external accounts connected to your GameMinder profile.

Discord

Linking your Discord account lets GameMinder associate your web app identity with your Discord user. This is required to receive Discord DMs from the bot, and ensures session and survey activity in the app is reflected in Discord correctly.

  1. Click Connect Discord.
  2. You are redirected to Discord to authorize the connection.
  3. After authorizing, you are returned to the app with your Discord account linked.

To unlink Discord, click Disconnect next to the linked account.

Note

Disconnecting Discord does not remove you from any campaigns. It only removes the association between your GameMinder account and your Discord identity.

Calendar

The Calendar tab is where you generate, regenerate, or revoke your personal iCal subscription URL.

Password

The Password tab lets you change your password, or set a password if you originally registered using Discord OAuth and have not set one yet.

Changing your password

  1. Enter your current password in the Current Password field.
  2. Enter your new password in the New Password field.
  3. Confirm the new password in the Confirm Password field.
  4. Click Update Password.

Setting a password (Discord-registered accounts)

If you registered using Discord and have never set a password, the Password tab shows a set-password form without a current password field:

  1. Enter your desired password in the New Password field.
  2. Confirm it in the Confirm Password field.
  3. Click Set Password.

Setting a password allows you to log in with email and password as an alternative to Discord.
