Setting up your account

This page walks you through creating a GameMinder account and completing your profile so you are ready to join or create a campaign.

Create an account

Navigate to app.gameminder.io and choose how you want to register:

Email and password

  1. Click Sign up.
  2. Enter your email address and choose a password.
  3. Check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link. You will not be able to log in until your email address is verified.

Discord

  1. Click Continue with Discord.
  2. Authorize GameMinder in the Discord dialog.
  3. You are logged in immediately. No email verification is required.

Note

If you register with Discord, you can set a password later from Account Settings so you also have the option to log in with email.

Complete your profile

After your first login you are taken to the app. Before joining or creating a campaign, take a moment to set up your profile:

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar (or click your avatar).
  2. Open the Profile tab.
  3. Set a Display Name: this is how other campaign members will see you.
  4. Set your Timezone: this ensures session times are shown correctly for your location. Choose the timezone you play in, not necessarily where you live.
  5. Optionally add an Avatar URL and set your preferred Locale.
  6. Click Save.

If you registered with email and password but also use the GameMinder bot, link your Discord account so GameMinder can connect your web identity with your Discord user.

  1. In Settings, open the Linked Accounts tab.
  2. Click Connect Discord and authorize in the Discord dialog.

  • If a GM has sent you an invite link, open the link in your browser while logged in to join their campaign.
